| Sample Description | Kinet 1965 45-27. [Dailey Islands, 2nd camp. Likely Station #98. Ecological study of a kettle topography. The algae were pinkish and orange in color, except the last one which bordered the pond with dried windrows. They were possibly formed by a dry and curvated sheet of Phormidium sp.] |
| General Notes | By helicopter, we moved from the eastermost Dailey Islands, camp 1, to the other Dailey Islands located close to the 165 Meridian, camp 2. This 2nd Dailey Island is a huge cinder cone often with a slope as steep as 40 degrees. A moat and a chain of small kettles encircle some parts of the basal periphery. Stations #95-101 |
